Choosing an air conditioning system for your boat

1.  Determine the approximate BTU's required for your vessel:

a.  Standard Usage (Temperate Zones)
Below Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 9 BTU
Middle Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 14 BTU
Top Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 17 BTU

b.  High Temperature Applications (Tropical Zones)
Below Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 14 BTU
Middle Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 17 BTU
Top Deck: - Length x Width x Average Height in Feet x 23 BTU
